There is something about setting an example of life balance for our kiddos. That starts at an early age. We either schedule activities from sun up to sun down, or we time block periods of naps, rest, active time and essential home chores.

I love that being a mom at home has provided the opportunity to focus on balance every day. We do not always achieve perfect balance, but on the overwhelming days we can use simple tools to help us slow down and readjust.

I am a big believer that daily home tasks teach children so much. Life skills are lost these days and that is because a lot of kids are missing out.

They are at preschool and not seeing the cleaning, cooking, bill paying, changing sheets, grocery shopping and all the rest. Parents take care of a lot around the house. Kids need to see that to know what adult life entails. And, they can help very early on with chores for each age group.
